Jonathan Ross

October 22, 2009

Just finished watching ‘the Jonathan Ross Show’ and it was much better than I thought it would be. On the show was Joanna Page (Stacey in Gavin & Stacey), Boy George, Aussie comedian Tim Minchin and Jamie Cullum. Joanna Page was hilarious, she kept talking a load of rubbish but it was so funny. Tim Minchin was also quite an entertainer, reminded me of Russell Brand. He also did a great duet with Jamie Cullum at the end of the show (singing ‘Hit the road Jack’) . The only downer was the fact that they were giving beers away to people that were there to watch Harry Hill but nothing for Jonathan Ross.

Sorry couldn’t take any pics otherwise they would have taken my camera and put it on Ebay.

Got tickets to be part of the audience for Jonathan Ross this morning. Went down to the studios to find a small group of protesters against the BNP. This is because the BBC are letting Nick Griffin be part of the panel in Question Time. About 30 mins later, the small group had turned into several hundred people and some tried to break into the BBC studios. Think Question Time will be pretty interesting to watch tonight.

TV Catchup on IPhone

October 17, 2009

Just playing around with TV catchup on the iphone. It’s (almost) real-time streaming of the basic TV channels including BBC1,BBC2, BBC3, ITV,Channel 4, E4 and Film4, The quality is pretty good but I won’t be able to give my full opinion until I need to use it properly (e.g if a want to watch MOTD when I’m in another country).

It also exists for laptops/desktops.

I’m sitting reading a magazine in Charles Worthington whilst my girlfriend is getting her hair cut. You may think that this is a boring thing to do however there’s no football on in the pub (the England match is only available on the internet) and I’ve just been asked what I want to eat and drink! Being a women’s salon there’s no beer on the menu so I settled for a glass of champers and some olives…well impressed.

Breakfast Club

October 4, 2009

Had brunch at the fantastic Breakfast Club in Hoxton this morning. I didn’t like queuing outside for 20 mins (you can’t reserve tables) but once we’d got in I didn’t want to leave. I had the american classic, veggie breakfast with pancakes and maple syrup, and my other half ordered  a standard english fry up. Both were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was also great, with Rolling Stones, Tiga and Kings of Leon on the Jukebox whilst we ate and read the papers. Highly recommended.
